📖 Read aloud with images
A lot of parents use Lylli, just like they would use a regular book, you cosy-up together, pick a book and read it aloud to your children.
The colorful illustrations makes the stories come to life, and the text is cleverly tailored for both toddlers and older children.
Since the book is displayed on the screen, the child can follow the text by themselves - perfect for when they start to learn to read.
"We usually read a chapter ourselves and then let Lylli read the next, and our kids love to compare our voices"
- Mother of two, Toronto
🎧 Let Lylli read – perfect for tired evenings
After a long day, you don't always have the energy to read yourself, as a parent. Then you can just lean back and let Lylli read the story with a warm and natural voice. Families tell us that the voices in Lylli feel safe and helps their kids to fall asleep. And several mention that they use our "audiobook"-mode during bedtime.
One tip is to activate Dark Mode in the app, we then dampen the light and we reduce the blue screen light gradually, to help the eyes to relax.
🎵 Audiobooks for small ears
For those evenings when the light has already been turned off, Lylli's audiobooks is a perfect choice. Kids tend to choose a favorite book that they want to listen to every night.
And that is a nice way to create routines and predictability. Somthing that younger kids love and need.
You can for example:
- Listen to one chapter before falling asleep.
- Let the book play until the child falls asleep, while our sleep timer automatically stops when time has run out.
- Vary the selection between action packed stories and calm bedtime stories.

Some parents let the kids choose the book of the night themselves in the app. Others have routines like: Mondays are for stories about animals, fridays are for adventures.
Whatever you do, it will be a great way to end the day. In a calm, loving way
❤️ A calmer evening – every evening
No matter if your kid read by themselves, listen together with you or lets Lylli read the story for them, the evening routine related to reading is about more than just fairytales.
It is a moment to deflate, cosy-up and build memories. And maybe, somewhere between all the places you go, even the grown up falls asleep...
